Cognitive Refit was founded by a team of veterans alongside a physician and an operations lead. The lived experience and the clinical rigour sit at the same table — because the people who took the hits deserve both.
Too many people are told it's "just stress" — and sent home without ever being measured.
We watched it happen to people we served with: sharp operators slowed by a fog no one could explain, handed a diagnosis that didn't fit and a plan that didn't help. The cognitive cost of repeated blast, impact and years on high alert went unmeasured, and so it went untreated.
Cognitive Refit exists to close that gap. We measure what's actually going on, build a recovery system around it, and connect people to the care that fits — starting with veterans, and extending to first responders, law enforcement, and athletes who carry the same kind of load.
